Pearson Ensign, Hull #896, Built 1965, Lovingly maintained (22' 6" LOA).
A wonderful daysailer or club racer. Nine-foot all wooden cockpit and two complete sets of sails: 1 Main, 1 Genoa (furling), 1 Working Jib and 1 Spinnaker. New halyards. Bottom re-painted May 2013. Completely refurbished cockpit tent cover. The offering includes a Tohatsu 9.9hp engine, fully serviced and running fine. Currently in the water at Edmonds (suburban Seattle) Marina – can sub-lease moorage in place for up to 6 months @ $231/mo.
Note that there is no trailer included. Owner is moving across the country and can’t take the boat with.
Pearson built close to 1,800 Ensigns in the 60's-70's; this is hull number 896. One of the most popular daysailers in the world. An excellent first boat, used by a number of sailing schools as an ideal introduction to sailing. A safe family boat, with plenty of room for four adults and children. Yet, the Ensign is fully competitive with racing fleets all over the country.
Upgrades and Recent Maintenance: Main and jib halyards replaced 2012, Bottom painted 2013, Harken jib furler
