Conceived, born and bred in the demanding environment of blue-water ocean racing by legendary racer, builder and designer Don Aronow, this Cigarette 28 SS is designed and equipped to perform as a thoroughbred racing machine while at the same time providing all the comfort and convenient of a calm water pleasure craft.

At the time of its introduction 50 years ago, equipped with standard power of less than half what this particular boat has, it was the fastest production boat made, able to get up to 45 mph with twin 165 horsepower Mercruisers.

Fast forward to today, this boat has twin custom high performance race-shop build engines (build sheets as well as recent survey by independent surveyor available in due diligence) with through-transom stainless wet headers, of approximately 400 horsepower, (and perhaps as many decibels :-) coupled via Imco extension boxes and torsional driveshafts to heavy duty Bravo One drives with external hydraulic steering and prop vents to enable those engines to quickly get up to their optimal torque and power curve, at which point you should be flying along at around 85 mph as will be indicated on the Gaffrig GPS speedometer with Tattle Tale memory.
