1987 Hunter 40 Sailboat. It is a terrific getaway and very relaxing and fun to entertain on.

Very nice 1987 Hunter 40 sloop with numerous recent upgrades. Very spacious interior with updated cabinetry, cabin sole and composting head.

The Hunter 40 is a fast passage maker with classic lines and very attractive improvements. The hull has been painted flag blue and there is biscuit canvas for the dodger and sail cover.

The cockpit is a good size and well laid out. All lines are led to the cockpit for easy one-handed, shorthanded sailing and there are numerous self tailing winches to help handle the sheets. The traveler traverses the bridge deck within easy reach of the helm.

The helm offers good visibility and easy access to engine gauges and controls. There are updated depth and wind gauges as well as a Garmin chartplotter at the binnacle. There is a drop table forward of the helm and the seller also has 2 different sized tables for cockpit use.

Down below the cabin is clean and dry with no signs of stains or unpleasant odors. This Hunter is a 3-cabin layout with a cabin forward. There is a berth with storage as well as a shower room.

The main salon offers a large convertible dinette with settees to port and starboard. Aft to port is a full nav station with a stereo and CD changer. The well laid out A/C panel is above.

To starboard is the L shaped galley featuring a double sink, icebox, stove with oven, microwave and refrigerator. Ample counter space and storage cabinets are here as well.

There is a good-sized aft cabin with queen berth, numerous storage spaces and good ventilation. Engine access is excellent with opening panels for easy service. The adjacent head has had a new composting toilet installed.
