1991 VALIANT 40 CUTTER RIGGED SLOOP CRUISER WITH A BETA 48 V DRIVE DIESEL READY FOR THE WATER
The seller has two boats and wants this one gone! The seller will consider all offers!
This 1991 Valiant 40 located in Pensacola, Florida is a true Blue Water World Wide sailing vessel. The previous owners circumnavigated the globe on her over a 5 year period and just returned to port a few years ago!
The current owner has owned her for 1 year and is currently working on bottom paint while on the hard. There are no blisters, there will be (2) coats of both primer and epoxy barrier coat applied followed by (4) coats of ablative paint.
Engine Power:
Beta 48 HP diesel engine with a 90-gallon fuel tank. There is a 16 3-blade Max Props folding-blade prop and reverse pitch when in reverse. The prop is made of bronze.
Battery Power:
(4) Gel 12V and (5) recent Lithium 12V with Inverter ($5K cost).
Rigging:
The seller states the riggning is in good condition. Keel stepped mast is freshly painted. Full complement of sails: (4) sails for jibs (130% and furling jib 100%), (2) Hank-on sails for cutter, staysails halfway back from furling jib and fore sail. Has an asymmetrical spinnaker with sock. One main sail is 3 years old and the other is approximately 10 years old.
Additional deck hardware and information:
Tigress Lafranzes windlass(3 years old), Jordan series sea anchor, 6 man life raft (expired 10 years ago), Windex, all updated push pit railing stainless steel around cockpit, Valiant 40 double ender, Newer Hydravane Sail Pilot ($6K cost).
Electronics:
Satellite Antenna - Iridium GO Hotspot ($3K cost), Raymarine Auto Pilot and depth finder, No radar or built-in GPS. Seller uses Navionics with a laptop. Ham radio Icon50 single side band, two VHF marine radios.
Tanks:
Water maker on-board -120-gallon fresh water tank, 30-gallon grey tank, 20 gallon hot water heater.
Galley:
3-burner with large oven, double deep sink, water purifier, water maker up to 36 gallons a day, 10cf refrigerator/freezer and can add ice maker.
Interior
Full-size double-fold table made of teak approx. 26 x 40 , pull out full size bed port, starboard side single sleeper, Captain's cabin is aft and sleeps two. Wet head with sink, toilet and shower.
No A/C. An older original system is installed with a seawater pump but not functioning.
