1939 PATROL TORPEDO P.T. BOAT WW2 HISTORY. 80 FEET LONG RUNNING ON TRAILER
 
PT8 – YF110 - PATROL TORPEDO. 80 Foot Long 17 Foot Beam. All Aluminum Construction. Brass Propellers/Like New. Documented history. A rare piece of history According to historical experts, there are only 12 remaining PT Boats in the World.  This was one of 3 Navy Prototype that saw service in WW2 in 1941. This is the only known Aluminum P.T. Boat known to exist. Lengthy Documentation.

Transferred to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron 2, 13 August 1941
Reclassified District Patrol Craft YP-110, 14 October 1941
Assigned to Inshore Patrol, Fourth Naval District, 1942
Placed out of service, date unknown
Struck from the Naval Register, 10 January 1943
Authorization for machinery salvage and hull scrapping received, 01 February 1943
Hull apparently retained at Philadelphia Navy Yard for tests and sold postwar
