Remarks
This 1979 47' Wellington Center Cockpit Cutter rigged cruiser must be considered a major project vessel needing a complete rebuild from top to bottom. This project vessel is not for the beginner. Only serious re-builders should consider this massive vessel for purchase. She has been left sitting for over 15 years open to the elements and will need termite removal, all new systems installed after rebuilding the interior wood, a new or rebuilt engine installed where the original 185hp Ford Lehman was located and much much more as seen in the pictures. This stout vessel was designed by John G. Alden Inc. and built out of heavy fiberglass giving her a 45,000 lb displacement with 11,000 lb lead ballast and carries approximately 470 gallons of diesel and 440 gallons of water. The vessel was designed with a centerboard giving her a 4'10” draft with the board up and a 7' draft with the board down. The vessel is coast guard documented and ready to be towed away and rebuilt.
If you are considering a well built motor sailor to cruise and live aboard and a quality project is what you want, come and preview her and for very little money she can be yours. Call Barry at 954-873-1800 and we will get you on board.
