Nice Condition & Hard to Find! 1990 North Coast 31 Express with Twin Cummins Diesel Engines!!
A rugged, solid build boat native to New England waters, the NorthCoast 31, later Blackfin 31, is for the year round or long season sportsman who needs a vessel that can handle anything he can, and then some.
With her 23 degree deadrise and plenty of fiberglass this boat cuts through the water like a destroyer, the smooth ride easy on the spinal column during those long hauls to and from the canyons or other far flung fishing destinations.
With her twelve foot beam the cockpit is a wide-open work area, with a bait well and two large fish boxes, rod holders, rocket launchers on the soft top and under-gunwale cleats for snag-free environment.
Though not generally classified as a walk-around, the fact is that the foot-wide side decks with four inch high raised toe-kicking under the bow rail makes going forward with one or two hands on a rod as easy and safe as any true walkaround.
Reliable, long service life Cummins diesels enable the boat to cruise in the low to mid twenties depending upon sea state burning roughly a gallon per mile, with tankage making a weekend eighty to a hundred miles offshore a possibility.
Navigation and communications electronics include an autopilot, radar, GPS plotter, a GPS fish finder, a hailer and a pair of VHF marine band transceivers.
Down below in the warmth of well crafted and joined woodwork the v-berth converts to dinette, the enclosed head has the shower and toilet separated from the sink and vanity in what one might call a half wet-head configuration, and the galley includes a modern downward opening refrigerator and two-burner combination electric / alcohol stove.
